ROTARY POLIO RACE 2021

The poliomyelitis has been a disease feared all over the world, that struck suddenly and left a lot of children with lifelong paralysis.
Polio, or poliomyelitis, is a disease that causes paralysis and potentially death. It generally affects children under the age of five. The poliovirus is spread person to person, typically through contaminated water.

Today, polio is only present in the poorest and most marginalized communities, where it haunts the most vulnerable children.

The objective of the initiative is to raise funds for distributing the polio vaccine to all the children and offer future generations a world without poliomyelitis.
