What is a REM? REM stands for Rotaract European Meeting. It is a twice-annual convention of Rotaractors from across Europe to share ideas, make connections, and explore new cities! Expect informative workshops, nightly parties, and lots of excursions and activities around the city! There are optional short trips that take place before and after the main event, called Pre-REM and Post-REM.
What is Rotaract? Rotaract is a global volunteer organisation that empowers people aged 18+ to create positive change in their local communities and around the world. Rotaract Clubs are more than just community service groups. Each club is a part of a global effort to bring peace and international understanding to the world. This effort starts at the community level, but it knows no limit in its outreach.
OUR MISSIONS
Community
We are excited to bring the Rotaract community to Dublin and showcase authentic Irish culture to an international audience. We aim to make this a welcoming, engaging event for all that will lead to long-lasting global connections.
Growth
Bringing this international event to Dublin will reinvigorate Rotaract and Rotary in Ireland, drive membership, and expose Rotaract in Ireland to international events for the first time since the pandemic.
Inclusivity
We are working hard to ensure this event is inclusive of people of all backgrounds. We are conscious of the activities we include in the programme, language use, and workshop topics to promote an inclusive environment for all attendees.
Accessibility
We are prioritising accessibility at every stage of the event. We are determined to make this event accessible to anyone who wishes to take part, so we are listening to our attendees and taking extra steps to ensure everyone feels safe, welcome, and included at REM Dublin.
